Born in Seoul, Jaemin spent much of his early childhood in Korea before relocating to Tokyo as a result of his father's job transfer. His upbringing was relatively normal if not a little suffocating, so once he graduated high school he moved away on his own study at Hoshizora.
As a boy who doesn't quite know what he's doing in life, he's only enrolled in university to satisfy his parents. So stuck in a faculty he doesn't quite enjoy (biology), he can often be found out and about socialising or looking for some form of entertainment outside of lectures and his part-time job. He does well enough academically so his parents don't worry, but at the same time could be doing much better if he gave it his all and wasn't so disinterested.
