Well isn't this a lovely day for a small trip around Tokyo? It wasn't. And by time this young up-and-coming archaeologist realized that the weather had been a teensy bit unfair to a newbie like her, it was already all too late. Within a few minutes, the pouring rain succeeded in causing a dent on Elayne's spirited enthusiasm. The worst part of it was how it ended just as quickly as how it started.
Pissed off pretty much summed up how the girl was feeling at the moment. Being drenched from head to toe in cold, murky water, and then having to deal with the constant gusts of cool breezes that's threatening to take away around a week's worth of activities by weakening her immune system and making her body vulnerable to sicknesses and bacterial infections.
'Then again, I guess its not as bad as when I bumped into a mummy..' she thought to herself, shrugging and continuing to walk along a randomly unfamiliar pathway while huddling further into her jacket, in hopes that she'd actually find a shop, or even just a place where she could change into something else. Those who weren't accustomed to seeing people dressed like this, well, they'd probably think that she was one of those cosplayers who liked dressing up in different outfits based on characters in video games and whatnot, and though she has given it a shot once in Saudi Arabia by putting on their traditional clothing, which made her look eerily identical to Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, she didn't particularly enjoy the loose and.. slightly see-through portions of the outfits.
After a few more minutes of wandering around, completely devoid of her bearings, Elayne finally found a row of shophouses that looked surprisingly classy. And given that she's not all that well-versed in the Japanese language as of this time, she could only hope to meet someone who spoke her native tongue. Being a long-time archaeologist and all, you'd think that she'd be more experienced in dealing with situations like these by now, but that obviously wasn't the case at all. Daddy's little girl- always is, and always will be.
