Twisted Passion | Open

Elayne could have sworn that she had the worst luck ever out of anyone in the world. Just when she thought she'd be out of range from those pesky gusts of wind, she had now wandered into a shopping district where, whoop-dee-doo, it was filled with air conditioning systems. It almost felt as though she had succeeded in dodging a single bullet, but had a cannonball waiting on the spot where she lands.

Thankfully though, there seemed to be a clerk of a particular shop that was keen on helping out, but then again, this wouldn't be the first time that she's met someone like this. That clerk had a look in her eyes that said 'I'm probably gonna milk you of what little money you have left, but I'm going to be doing it in a nice way so that you wouldn't suspect much of me'.

"I don't really.. have much money on me.." The slight pauses between her sentence was caused by the uncontrollable quivering of her lips. She had spoken the magic words, and as expected, the clerk immediately blew her off and began walking back to her spot behind the counter. So much for good will, huh?

After heaving what was to be the biggest sigh in the world, the girl decided to continue on, hoping to meet someone who would be at least helpful enough to direct her back to the train station. But until then..

It wouldn't be the first, and it sure as heck wouldn't be the last time that Elayne gets blown off by some snotty expensive shop. If her adventures told her anything, its the the smallest districts and the tiniest shops that had the kindest owners- people that wouldn't hesitate losing a few bucks to help out someone in need. Perhaps it was only her biased judgment at work here, but she had yet to actually see something akin to that in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Until now, that is. The young archaeologist hardly noticed that there was another girl present in the shop she was in earlier on, until the gothic looking young lady approached her and spoke up in a manner that was.. oddly resemblant of the way her former educators spoke in. Oddly resemblant of the way she herself speaks in because of said educators, alongside the place which she grew up in. She had always found it weird that she has an accent, and her father didn't, but oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

And so, one could imagine the look on Elayne's face when she heard those magical words. So much so that she immediately rushed over, got down on her knees and proceeded to embrace the young silver haired lady's legs, seemingly in tears, but really it was only the water dripping from her hair. Still, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that the sensitive side of that girl took over and, well.. it subconsciously leads her into doing weird things like this.

"Thank you thank you thank you I can't say that enough oh my goodness thank you!!"

All the while still cradling the girl's legs. Yep, not awkward in the least bit.

.. Skintight clothing?

After hearing the aforementioned words, the brunette glanced down at her own outfit, surveying it with a brief glance. Sure, her pants were a bit tight, but they were pretty flexible, and allowed for smooth movements. Normally, she wouldn't actually head out into the open wearing something like this, but on that particular day, one could say she felt a little homesick.. despite not ever having a solid home in one location. She missed her dad most of all, but he promised to drop by as soon as he could to check on her soon, and he's never let her down before.

As soon as the idea was explained to her though, Elayne was relieved, to say the least. Even though she'd feel bad for dirtying the albino girl's new store-bought clothes, there weren't really any alternatives. All the shops around here looked pretty expensive, and that's an understatement. "A-Are you sure though..? What if.. hm.. what if you change into your new clothes, and I.. wear what you have on instead?"

Now that's a thought, wasn't it? Yes, with the exceptions of Mathematics and calculations, she excelled in academics, but even so, her common sense and basic understanding of human communication made things a whole lot more complicated because of this like this. She did not understand if there was anything wrong with sharing clothing, or if it had any ulterior meanings behind it. "I mean, if its not too much trouble. I wouldn't want to roughen up your new clothes that quickly."

Huh, for the first time in recent memory, someone was actually willing to listen in on her adventures? Elayne wouldn't go so far as to admit that she's glad, but in a way, she truly was. Not only had this girl gone out of her way to help her out with her current predicament, she had also essentially offered a bit of companionship along the way.

Such was the true definition of a 'savior'.

"Thank you again, h-honestly. I don't know.. what I would have done without your aid."

Upon arriving at the bathroom stalls, the young archaeologist hesitantly took the offered clothing and went in, locking the door behind her. As quickly as she got in, she liberated herself of the wet clothing, a small shiver being sent up her spine because of a sudden breeze blowing against her wet skin. Though she was still in her underwear, it did little to shield her from the air circulation that presumably stemmed from the air conditioning system right outside this deserted place. "Th-The name's Elayne. With a 'Y' instead of an 'I'. You could call me Lanie if you wish. E-Even though that's what my father calls me, but.. its fine."

Huzzah huzzah, you can imagine the look on her face when she first laid eyes on those articles of clothing. Though it wasn't all that surprising to find that they were all in a gothic theme of sorts, Elayne miscalculated one very important factor in this entire equation. "I.. don't know how to put these on."

This being the first time she's ever laid eyes on clothing as frilly as those that she's been offered, the brunette fumbled along, trying to figure out which piece went where.
