Golden eyes grazed across flashy signs with twinkling words that hoped to entice a shopper or two inside the doors of a well marketed shop, and a small smirk came to thin lips causing a small shift in the silver ring upon the lower. Thumbs curled discretely in black slacks as a blue haired young man walked easily down the street his eyes aligned a bit higher to the various screens vying for his attention. Shibuya, supposedly the busiest shopping district in all of Tokyo, was still a sight to be seen to Hwan, and he couldn’t help but feel the distilled sort of awe that came in response despite having set foot in the district one too many times in the past few months alone. I could live here… was the small mental notion before eyes dropped and more readily assessed what was in front of him- a mass of busy people walking in afternoon, almost evening, sun. Except I’d get run over… A small snort at his own joke came and went as Hwan ebbed over to a window to briefly glance inside.
The winter season had brought out the familiar westernized traditions of Christmas already, and as Hwan stared in the window, he dared to guess the new toy of the season already set up in the display. A small smirk came to the blue haired young man’s features as he briefly fished out his cellphone and snapped a picture of the game system in question. Since she’s always asking what I want.. Hwan mentally mused a little at his mother even as he made the swift hand gestures to send the picture on to her. It was always his mother’s side of the family that was the more festive of people, he had come to realize, though a part of him assumed it was the American in them. Either way, his mother compulsively went out of her way every year to supply a “wonderful” Christmas. Eh, it wasn’t bad.
Rumble. Hwan blinked briefly. Really? I shouldn’t be that hungry I just ate— When was that? Earlier today? It had to have been earlier today, right? He knew it hadn’t been at his lunch break in class since he had errands t run in that time, but hadn’t he eaten breakfast at least? Eh, food time now at least he reasoned out quickly. Turning back to face the street, the blue haired young man glanced around daring a café or some small eatery to come into view. Wherever shopping was, food was usually with it, or so he had come to expect. Upon catching sight of a corner store café at the end of the street, Hwan started walking there rather quickly now from the once passive pace he had used before. There had to be something- or something!
