our houses are haunted, dark and deserted
they're made of my secrets and shame
they're made of my secrets and shame
Be it night or be it day, it didn't really matter much to Jinny. She wasn't born blind, oh no, it was a medical defect that stole her vision away from her when she was just a young girl, and so, she's grown somewhat accustomed to being surrounded in darkness. At least until a few years ago when she finally mastered the art of 'seeing' things with her third eye, but even then, it'd take a whole lot of concentration and focus to bring that to life.
Nonetheless, the redhead could be seen wandering down the busy streets of Shibuya, the light tapping of her walking stick masked by the pollution of sound happening all around her. She's heard things she didn't know of, and plus, most of these people spoke in their native tongue, which she wasn't familiar with at all. Hailing from a temple in China, the locals here weren't all too kind when it came to treating her fairly, what with the years of dispute and conflict amongst the Japanese and Chinese still going on to this day. Still, if she kept her mouth shut, no one would notice her ethnicity, or what she's here for.
There had been countless reports of random murders happening all over the place lately, and with little to no traces of clues left behind, the culprit behind it is believed to be a part of the supernatural. Perhaps an evil spirit? Perhaps a lurker attached to the place in which it has known while it was still alive? The possibilities were endless. Yet, by the end of the day, even the hired private detectives couldn't figure out what was wrong. Of course, being the ever-so rational and logical people that they were, they refused to hire someone who specialized in dealing with otherworldly beings.
Jinny took it upon herself to investigate, but it wasn't before her informant -an old neutral dealer spirit who runs a shop in an isolated part of Tokyo- alerted her of a few strands of unusual strings that seemed to be made of a silken material being found in a few of the scenes. Was it an invitation by the creature itself? Or was it just careless? Either way, it was the young exorcists's duty to eliminate evil spirits from the world, and this certainly called for it.
Now, if only she had any clue as to where the culprit might strike again. She had the location right, and it was already dead in the middle of the night. It'll only be just a matter of time before something happens.. or so she hoped.
