THE VEINS OF MY CITY
This is a brief recollection of a series of encounters between an oddity and an ordinary human being. A series of uncommon events that have been occurring throughout the country of Japan, and subsequently the rest of the world. This story starts in a shrine of Maruyama Park, with an oddity given form by the name of Suzaku. Suzaku is an avian spirit, given form by the events of the summer haze that has caused all forms of supernatural occurrings over the world. Although he is not bound by any one particular area, the powers of the supernatural are strongest at shrines, and so he had chosen Maruyama Park as one of his first areas to create a nest. Suzaku was a simple creature of material wants. He approached things with a curiosity that was only sated by a reaction by the said object or individual, and this gave him the appearance of an odd human that often resided around the park. Often, he moved in the larger cities, eager to see what they offered to him. Regardless, he lived a fairly carefree life in this world, and was enjoying himself as an oddity given free form. Today, while roosting, he stumbled upon a most curious event. Having gotten away from what seemed to be a fairly expensive vehicle of some sort, a beautiful girl with blonde hair that weaved itself like fine gold silk came to the nearby temple where he roosted. Being in the form of a bird and perched on top of a tree, it would be difficult for the girl to detect him. But he watched with keen interest, to what she was doing, he was going to approach her at some point, but not before looking at what she was going to do. It seemed as if she were heading to the shrines, to pray or some other form of request. Normally, prayers did not work, but in the events of the summer haze? there was many an oddity in which would answer her call. Suzaku took flight, gently circling in the air, watching her as she walked around the temples. |
