After a whole day of training Celia managed to control the powers she awakened a few days ago. How did something like that happen she didn’t know, she didn’t even know what she was, but it didn’t matter at all. She was happy that the person she loves didn’t leave her just because of some strange powers that she developed. And it looks like Isis enjoyed these powers too, she had some request from time to time in what she would want Celia to transform, and Celia was happy because she could make Isis happy too. Their life was still perfect as it was until now, only problem would be their schedules which makes night the only time they could spend together, and of course the weekends.

For tonight she was dressed in sporty outfit. She was wearing a white shirt that as pretty long for her and blue shorts. For the moment she was cooking some food for the two of them. She was finished with preparing the food, but the strange thing was that Isis didn’t get home yet, thing that got Celia worried. She was constantly looking at the watch and was wondering if something bad happened to her. She should go look for her, but she got hold at work more or something like that. The food can wait, what was more important is the safety of her lover.

She went to her room and took off her clothes, for now she was left only in a bra and her panties. She was looking for some warmer clothes since it was cold outside. She was putting all the clothes on the bed when she suddenly heard someone at the door. She didn’t even get other clothes on; she just rushed to the door. Being worried she just hoped it was Isis at the door and not someone who would give her bad news.

Isis was escorted back for a good portion of the way, until her senses recuperated. When they did, they were enhanced beyond what could be construed by any regular human, or even any enhanced human. With her vision's absenteeism the world became her eyes, and that overwhelmed the redhead who, at this point, had no idea her hair had assumed a different pigment.

Escaping that warehouse draped in viscera and blood, if she didn't acquire a new garb she'd look like she just committed homicide. Since murdering someone for a change of fresh clothes wouldn't be even remotely ethical and confounding, she took a not-so ethical route, slinked her way into a clothing store, and left using her newfound extreme speed.

She didn't need help selecting. Everything had a certain smell, sound, feel, texture, even colors, and it provided her with enough information to develop a strong image of what she was wearing in her mind. Acute senses helped her with her next series of actions - staying out of sight while switching to her new set of clothes. It included a pink blouse and a light blue frilly skirt. Admittedly, it accommodated her new look.

Her sullied previous attire would be deposited into a dumpster; maybe some cannibal homeless guy could have fun with it. Either way, she made her way home thereafter. Tokyo was a busy place regardless of the time of day, and it was only thanks to her speed and discretion she made it back and did what she needed to do without being spotted.

Then came the most challenging and taxing aspect of her day; being a harbinger of bad news.

After having knocked on the door and hearing it fling open as she anticipated, she immediately recognized the scent as Celia's. Certain factors contributed to enlightening Isis of the obviously poor mood. As expected, she smelled food, and she pinpointed the specific ingredients used, and even discerned the smell of those who handled the aforementioned elements before they even got into the house. The outstanding, vertiginous information feed dazed her.

"My name's Isis. I think you may know who I am."

Who was this person? Why did she say her name is Isis? Celia was sure that Isis didn’t look like the girl that was in front of her. Isis’s hair was white; the girl that was claiming to be Isis had red hair. Could she really be Isis? Could she have suffered the same thing that Celia suffered? Somehow both of them gained supernatural powers and they could both change how they look? But that wasn’t the whole thing; something in her mind was telling her that Isis was just like her, no longer a human. It could be just her imagination so she tried to ignore it.

For now she wasn’t sure if she should believe this person or not. She could ask her some stuff that only Isis knows, but it has to be something that nobody except Isis could find out. The reason why he was here, so far from home wasn’t good enough, because everything was mentioned in her record that the school keeps, so someone that got access to them could easily find out many things about her. The birthday wasn’t a good choice either. She sighed and invited the girl in her room; she didn’t say anything, she just got out of the way and made a motion with her hand that invites her in the apartment.

”If you really are Isis…then tell me...” she was a bit hesitant on this one, it was the only thing that she found that could work, since only Isis would be able to know such a thing. It was embarrassing to ask something like this, but if she wanted to be sure that she could jump at her neck and kiss her since she was so worried because she as late; she had to ask that question. If the girl didn’t know the answer then she ould have to ask her to leave this place. ”What is my favorite position?”

Isis anticipated having to prove who she was, but no amount of preemptive bracing could prepare her for having to verify her identity through exceedingly specific means. Her voice didn't change that much, and she hoped that would have proved she indeed was who she claimed to be. Currently her hair didn't look eminently different from before; it was red instead of white, but it still wasn't stylized, and with what she just went through - rain, pain, blood sweat and tears, it was sort of everywhere and untamed.

A sigh escaped the unseeing redhead as she entered her own dorm. She resolved to keep her eyes closed instead of leaving them open; she didn't want to expose her milky red hues to primary consideration.

At the very least it reassured her that her dorm was more secure than she originally conceived it to be. Should she have been an actual intruder, she would have been detected an unable to exploit vulnerability.

But then again, who the hell comes into someone's apartment and randomly claims to be them? She kept to herself and didn't have a lot of money. Ransacking her place wouldn't reap many benefits, and not a ton of people really knew that she and Celia were an item.

After constituting an apparently viable option, the green haired girl posed a predictably ribald question. Sour because of her atrocious day, she frowned before answering.

"Reverse cowgirl. God, why do I have to answer that, anyway? What the hell could someone achieve by pretending to be me?"

A blushed appeared on her face when she heard the answer that she was expecting from the real Isis. She wanted to be sure because what happened in her childhood marked her a lot, and she didn’t want to repeat the drama. But since she girl gave the right answer she was 100% sure that it was her lover. That why she took a sit next to her and leaned to give her a kiss on the lips. She wasn’t worried anymore so she sighed in relief. But still she needs to ask her other questions, because coming this late when she knows how little time they have together could mean other things.

She knew that it wouldn’t be possible for Isis to cheat on her and she didn’t want to make her angry, so she decided not to ask her about this. ”I was worried…and they could gain me if they pretend they are you, so I just wanted to be sure…Sorry.” She looked down a bit sad that she doubted Isis. But she tried not to concentrate on that right now; she was wondering more why Isis was so changed. She would ask all those questions at dinner, since the food was still warm made everything perfect since they wouldn’t have to heat it.

Celia got up and went to the kitchen. ”Let’s eat.” Heading for the fridge and picking the strawberry juice she poured it in two glasses, placing one at Isis’s plate and one next to her own plate. On the table there were all kinds of foods and some cakes that she brought from work. Since she was working at a café those cakes was something normal. And a desert that both of them enjoyed since they were free. ”I had a lot f time so I made more than we could eat. We will have some in the morning too.”

God, was she ever cute. Her inability to ever see her again dampened her mood, but, over the last little while she managed to burn the image of that beautiful greenette into her mind, and she didn't require any more opthalmic aid to be able to identify her. Not only this, but her appearance was only one of the contributors to why they were an item. After all, she could have been the most beautiful person in the world, but if she wasn't Isis's type, then it never would have been, no matter how hard she tried. Ultimately, she felt bittersweet, and had difficulty digesting the happenings, and coming to terms with her condition.

Her feet carried her to the kitchen, pursuing the soundings of Celia's footsteps, motions, while continuously tracking her by smell. Isis was hungry, but not in a human sense where she wanted food. No, she wanted blood, and she didn't feed since she was stripped of her humanity against her will. Thanks to her acute sense of smell, with some concentration, she could smell Celia's blood. It smelled delectable, stimulating her salivary glands and causing her mouth to water, as though in preparation for a meal. The smell of human food teased that even more. Unfortunately, she wouldn't ever do that, and if she did, she knew of methods to end her own life before the damage was done.

Hearing the table being set, and identifying the majority of the things set on it, she essentially just faced that direction blankly. Her expression lacked much in terms of emotion, because inwardly, things were getting to be too much to handle. She could deter herself from losing control, and she paid for that ability with her eyes, but God she was miserable, physically and psychologically, from the tremendous amount of trauma. She swallowed some of the pent up saliva, stepped over to Celia, and pressed her lips against hers.

And tears were streaming down her cheeks.

Strange enough Isis wasn’t talking too much, she didn’t ask any questions about school or work, and she didn’t try to explain why she got so late home. Celia was really worried when it comes to these things, she already lost someone important in her life, and she doesn’t think she could go through that pain again. If she lost Isis she would rather end her life to get as soon as possible to her mother and to Isis, she wouldn’t be able to remain sane if she lost both of them. But it shouldn’t be the case here since Isis right now is safe, and Celia was sure that she would always be safe.

Right at that moment something happened that she wasn’t prepared for. When she turned around to sit next to Isis and eat to her, her lips were locked with hers. But it was different, it wasn’t the sweet taste that she always felt when she was kissing Isis, something was wrong and she could figure that out only from a kiss. How could she do that she didn’t know, maybe it was the connection with them and only a kiss was enough to tell her that Isis is sad. Or maybe it was something else; something that she knew nothing about, like her powers to change.

Her feeling was confirmed when she could feel tears on her lips, Isis was crying and this was making Celia very worried, what did happen? Kissing her a bit more and wrapping her arms around her neck to keep her close in a hug; she decided to slowly break the kiss. She had a worried look on her face and was looking right in her eyes. ”What…happened?” The sadness could be heard in her voice; she was sad because Isis was crying and she didn’t know the reason, she didn’t know how to help her, and seeing her lover cry like that was slowly making her drop some tears too. But she wanted to be strong for her.

Her arm was slender beacons of warmth around her neck, and Isis felt the warmth seep teasingly into her own ice sculpture of a body. Her own flesh was cool and smooth to the touch, free of blemishes and imperfections, like ice. Moreover, like sand, it possessed no moisture.

Tasting Celia's soft lips pleased her, brought her some solace in the face of adversity. When she felt the reciprocation, she indulged further, almost too enthusiastically as she desired more of this suppressive sensation. An anaesthetic for her inner conflict. She wove her glacial arms around Celia's curvaceous frame, a frame which despite its distinctive curvature boasted badges of athleticism.

She refrained from answering immediately when she heard Celia's question. The dreaded answer hung weightily on the tip of her tongue, and forcing it required insurmountable willpower she hadn't mustered. The words weren't the only thing lingering on her tongue -- a saline flavor ghosted her gustative senses, and a miniscule difference in flavor indicated they didn't belong to her.

Anxiety and worry carved creases into her porcelain forehead as she attempted to articulate a response.

"I was blackmailed, but it was a ruse. This artifice was based on someone claiming to have your life in their hands, and the same sort of letter was posed to multiple people, luring us into a supposedly abandoned warehouse..."

She hurriedly gulped down her pent up saliva, which had no distinct feeling against her inflamed, scorched gullet; it likely resembled raw meat than specialized tissue.

"I know it's hard to believe, but, the aggressor revealed herself to be a vampire..."

Already she gravely spouted things she never thought she'd ever in her lifetime be talking about seriously.

"For the liberation of the others there, she forced me and one other person to be..."

She sunk a pristine, perfect, venom soaked canine shallowly into her own bottom lip.

"Turned."

Pausing momentarily, she did her utmost best to keep herself together.

"I never thought I'd feel my own body realigning itself and kill off its own organs, but nonetheless, it happened. I was going to go berserk, and who knows what I'd have done, but I managed to make a sacrifice, constitute a psychological "wedge" between sanity and insanity, between humanity and inhumanity, morality and immortality, Isis and a parasitic snake."

A paused of roughly ten seconds passed, each tiny interval seeming interminable. Very slowly she opened her eyes, eyelids lowered like sarcoid curtains, revealing a palette of white and red. The gap flourished until she finally opened her ruby eyes, but they were hardly looking in Celia's direction. Discoloration conquered the once proud crimson, as though diluted by milk.

"My eyes."

Celia was sure right now, something was really wrong with Isis, she never saw her like this until now. It was like she had an aura of sadness radiating from her; she had no idea how to react to that. And when she wrapped her arms around Isis’s neck she didn’t feel warm at all, it was like she hugged an ice cube. Slowly she rubbed her arms around Isis’s neck, to share some of her body warmth with her, but it seems like her struggle was futile. Was it that cold outside and since she just came back it would take some time to get warm? Or did she get sick since most of the time at work she spends it delivering pizza.

She wasn’t sure on what she should do, and when she wanted to ask Isis if something is wrong, Celia’s words were stopped. Isis was trying to explain something, and what she was saying made Celia very worried. It seems that Isis was tricked into believing that she was in danger, and that Isis has to come and save her, who would do something like that, and why didn’t Isis try to contact her. But Celia shouldn’t ask those questions, she knew that Isis was way too worried to try and contact her and she was grateful for that.

The way Isis moved her hands on Celia’s body made her body a bit hotter than normal, lately she was getting hungrier and she could easily be excited, but her willpower for now let her control her sudden instincts, the instincts that started to develop since the night she gained those strange powers. She just stood there and listened to each and every word she said. She was slowly analyzing everything and trying to understand all those words. The one who blackmailed her was a vampire? She didn’t ask herself if those things exist since she was a creature too, but Celia didn’t know what creature she is.

At the end two words were said by Isis that made her worry a lot, and when she opened her eyes just to see that the beautiful color in them was gone, she was even more worried now. She saw some people with that color in their eyes; eyes that lost their color; it meant only one thing, and she was afraid to ask something like that. But her mind was losing control of her emotions; her eyes were getting teary just thinking at what could have happened to her girlfriend. Instantly tears started to roll on her eyes too.

Before asking the question that worried her so much, she tried to calm herself, tried to stop crying, but nothing work. So she just connected her lips with Isis’s again; just for a few seconds before breaking it, not even giving Isis the chance to reciprocate it. Her tears didn’t stop from covering her cheeks. ”Are…Is…” She didn’t even know how to ask her this question; she wasn’t sure if she should avoid it or just ask directly. But she decided to make courage. ”Are you…blind?” She was so afraid of this answer; she just wanted to be wrong.

Then came the auspicated moment of reckoning. Isis had to tell Celia the excruciating truth and inform her of her opthalmic ineptitude. As much as she adored those saccharine kisses, not even they could save her from the mordant guilt gnawing at her surprisingly active heart.

"Yes."

Ironically, her bitter anxieties and sorrow temporarily crumbled, enabling her to fortify herself enough to provide comfort to Celia, who'd be inevitably effected just as much as herself. Not on the physical level, but a vehement psychological blow no less. Demonstrating an alarming amount of coordination, precision, she performed a normally impossible feat for a blind person; she held a lock of Celia's emerald green hair and gently brushed away the tepid stream of tears on Celia's face.

A task normally inconceivable for she shouldn't have been able to discern where the tears were, or that they existed at all, or have enough coordination and awareness of her surroundings to actually hold onto a specific filament of hair, and use it to affectionately liberate Celia's soft countenance with a certain lime lock.

Whenever she cleared her scorched throat it greeted her with a world of indiscriminating pain. As long as she didn't show the pain to Celia, the aforementioned wouldn't be pressured to allow her to consume any of her blood. The immorality and her closeness, and most importantly, the need to not exploit another human being because of love and kindness were the biggest contributions to Isis's abstinence. But the signs were gradually surfacing, like expired fish. She started to wince.

"But, I don't need sight to appreciate you, Celia. I don't want you to think that. Stunning as you are, what really matters is the person's heart, who they are inwardly, and that isn't something viewed through the eyes," she rubbed her own neck, pausing unnaturally as agony accumulated thickly in her eyes, "I love you, you are my light, and if that light were doused, then my life would truly hold no value. And one day, when you're ready, you're going to be my bride."

Her worries were true; Isis’s eyes were no longer working for her. She could feel how her heart was breaking when she heard that, when she heard that something bad happened to the most important being in her life. At the same time she felt angry, she wanted to find the person that this did to them. But if she did that she didn’t know what she would do after, she was never violent and her mind wouldn’t let her be violent, she was way too nice and sometimes that wasn’t good at all. She wanted to protect her girlfriend, but she couldn’t. Even if she had powers like she has now, those were useless since she couldn’t fight anyone.

She felt like a burden to Isis, but the nice words that came out of her mouth, the words that made her feel happy again; all those nice words got to her heart and they were slowly putting it back together. And of course the actions she did, taking a lock of her hair and cleaning the tears that were on her cheeks. She managed to top crying, if there was one thing she could do, it was that she could be strong for Isis. For now she only had one reaction, cupping the hand that grabbed her lock of hair. She pushed Isis’s hand against her own cheek and rubbed her cheek against Isis’s palm.

All those words were so nice, they made her feel so good, but she didn’t know how to respond to them. Until she heard something that made her tears fall again, but this time those tears weren’t because of sadness, those tears were because she was very happy. Even if it wasn’t a real one, Isis actually propose to Celia, it made her so happy, she couldn’t help but hug her very tight. ”I am always ready to be your bride, it would make me the happiest girl alive…But there is a problem…” She wasn’t sure how her father would react to this, she wanted to make him happy too.

”The real proposal would have to wait a bit. Would you want to…Go to London this vacation? So you could meet my father. This would make him very happy. It would be better to meet him in person than over the phone.”

Feeling her cool palm soak in the allaying warmth of Celia's cheek contented her. The great ardour quickly ceased the flow of tears from her unseeing pale eyes. Celia caught her in a vice grip of a blissful embrace, leaving her bittersweet as she wished the pain in her throat would go away, so she could thoroughly enjoy the moment.

Out of all the things they did together, from the most trifling to the most risqué and or major, simply embracing Celia, being in one another's arms, meretricious stood out as the most important and desirable thing. Unprofitably loafing on a couch, remaining clad in naught but one another's tender embrace, falling asleep listening to one another's breath and heartbeat, nothing could replace it.

Upon mention of a deterring problem -- an enigmatic obstacle, a bad feeling started to swell ominously in her stomach. Already swimming in a sea of issues and internal and external complications, the last thing she needed was a complication that could completely compromise her happiness. Perhaps it was a tastelessly cynical perspective, but nobody could expect anything less from a fledgling who had undergone an unexpected series of unfortunate events. In anticipation, she tensed up like a rigid statue of ice.

And ultimately ended up feeling pretty dumb when posed with the idea of vacation and an opportunity to meet with her girlfriend's dad. Good thing she wasn't always a cynic. Despite her agitated esophagus that was demanding a drink of red liquid that didn't originate from strawberries or cherries, and the pain inflicted by it, the revelation delighted her enough to brighten her heavy visage.

"Of course. I'd like to formally ask him for the right to be wed to you," honestly, given the topic, her face began to redden, and you can bet on a fever not being the cause of that rosy flush. "And, I haven't been out of the country much, so it'd be nice to see some sights."

It seems that these powers were handy in these situations, if she learn to control them too, she would be strong and she would always know if something is wrong with her girlfriend without Isis needing to tell her if something happened. But now she wondered if she should keep this; she wasn’t sure if it was a new power developing or it was just because they were close. But she stopped thinking about it right now.

Kissing her forehead she tried to connect all the dots. So they were blackmailed by a vampire, and she said something about turning like this. The change in her hair color and her eyes; then she realized. Maybe she was hungry like Celia was all the time, only that Celia didn’t know how to satisfy this hunger. If she is right that means that Celia could feed Isis with her own blood. And you could say he was a bit possessive, but she would never let anyone else feed Isis. Since they are together that was one of Celia’s jobs as her girlfriend, to feed her. But she would never admit something like that because Isis would be afraid to hurt Celia.

That’s why she decided to trick her girlfriend a bit, it was an innocent one so she shouldn’t get mad. Celia bit her lower lip to draw some blood and then did the same with the top lip. She was bleeding from both lips. She could be wrong, but it was worth a try. Leaning to her she connected with her lips again, kissing her and making sure she would feel the taste of her blood. It was bit strange for Celia, but it was a way to see if she was right or not.

The stannic aroma blood coddled would never slip the vampire's notice. She was a shark to blood as much as salt was to the sea, and such was proved with her reaction to the scent creeping into her nostrils and spreading through her lungs. Copious saliva promptly accumulated at their respective glands in her mouth, and the crimson in her eyes shone like gold. Before she could soothe her esurience, Celia resolved to fixate her lips against her own, allowing the liquid red to seep in through her parted lips, and into her mouth, brewing a sensation in Isis that paralyzed her initially.

The bolts and screws securing her mental inhibitors were scattered erratically about her elicited mind. Assertive as her girlfriend was, she immediately turned the tables with superior brawn and immediately captured those soft lips against hers -- relentlessly. She sucked on them as though they were candy to collect the blood leaking through the wounds, periodically running her tongue along the fresh cuts. In doing so she, unbeknownst to her, would end up clotting the self-inflictions and stopping the bleeding. That partially restorative characteristic in her saliva was by no means atypical for a vampire, for it was a convenient device to savor and maintain prey, in lieu of costing the lives of perfectly good livestock.

Emotions were potent enough to be palpable. Regret, loss, desire, and given Celia's irrefutably scanty attire, perhaps a tinge of lust was stirring within her core. An unorthodox concoction of affection flooded her mind, and before she knew it, she was starting to further indulge in the kiss Celia resolved to share. She was conflicted inwardly, her throat felt like it was on fire, and the only beacon of support she had, or wanted, was the girl before her. She didn't care what they did -- talk, cuddle, hell, just being in her presence was enough for her. She didn't know what the greenette was planning, but nonetheless, she tightly coiled her arms around her, and kissed her as deeply as she could.

Celia was right, her girlfriend really turned into a vampire. That easily explained the crimson color of her hair and her eyes. It didn’t explain why she was blind, but right now she was glad that she was alright. Celia would take care of her, make sure to help her in need, and of course she won’t let her stay in the sun since from what she knows vampires burn when they are in contact with the sun rays. She didn’t want to hurt her girlfriend at all, so that meant they would have to paint the windows black so no sunray would enter their apartment; only thing that she was worried about was that painting the windows black would be a problem with the school.

Slowly her mind started drifting, she couldn’t think at anything else except for the kiss, even if she wanted to, it was like the kiss was trying to keep her in there forever. Making sure that they are like this for eternity. Celia wasn’t sure if she was cured of the disease called aging like her vampire girlfriend is. But if she isn’t she would ask her to bite her too, to turn her into a vampire. Because she would have no problem in spending eternity with her girlfriend.

Slowly she tried to break the kiss, but it seems that Isis didn’t want something like that, as she wrapped her arms around Celia’s body and kept her locked in that wonderful action. But even so she knew that soon the bleeding would stop. Lips are the part of the body that usually heals faster. She didn’t know how much time she had and she certainly didn’t know that by licking her lips her girlfriend would help with the healing of the self-inflicted wounds.

Keeping her in the kiss for a little longer, Celia decided that it was time to let her eat more. She forcefully broke the kiss, pushing Isis a bit. Her breathing was heavy, her face was flushed. She took a few moments to think straight because at that moment, when she broke the kiss she just wanted to continue it again, forgetting actually why she broke it in the first place.

Turning her head a bit so her neck would be revealed; Celia said to Isis something while stroking her hair. ”You can drink as much as you want.” Trying to add a joke in there too just to make fun of the situation. ”But try not to empty me, I still need some of my blood too.” She said that with a chuckle and after that she just waited with her neck revealed to be bitten by Isis. In a way Celia was getting a bit excited by all of the kissing and the wait for her to get bit was actually making it worse; thing that was shown by her heavy panting.
